"Invite people to join you!" according to Phil, a lay leader at a partner church in Wayne Co shared this touching story at our Wayne Co. More than Enough Lunch. He received a need request for a family from Wayne Co Children Services. His church, Connection Church, had the resources to meet the need.
Once the beds were rounded up Phil invited some church people to help with the delivery. One young woman was especially touched to help serve this family. After they set up the beds and prayed for the family she shared, "I used to help do this with my dad." For her it was truly more blessed to give than to receive.
Over the last several months we have seen needs met in Wayne, Richland, Ashland, Medina, and Knox Counties for kinship, foster and reunified families. Most often a bed, crib, or other household items to help them welcome children into their home.
There is certainly something for everyone to do to help foster a child.
