Helping new foster families

Two weeks ago I had the privilege of meeting three new foster families in Ashland County. Their excitement was palpable as was their nervousness. The call to serve foster children is clear to the families, yet the task can seem daunting. Imagine the infusion of confidence and courage a team of volunteers can bring to these families as they serve children from hard places in Ashland County.

Share the mission of Fostering Family with your church family and friends. Ask them to be the helping hands our foster families need to help them serve children in need. From a meal or yard work to becoming an "aunt. uncle,, grandparent" or tutoring a child you can easily lighten the load. Join us for volunteer training THIS SUNDAY.

Sign up below. and download the flyer to share.

Our training includes tips on how to work with foster families and their children as well as guidelines from Ashland Co. JFS for serving foster children in Ohio. Learn how to easily organize your care team and ways to be a blessing to the foster family. Simple do's and don'ts will make you mroe effective in sharing the love of God in your service to these children from hard places.

Let Fostering Family Ministries help you and your church get involved in serving a foster family. Attend the Volunteer Training November 6th, 2016 from 6-8pm at Bethel, 575 St. Rt. 250 N, Savannah, six miles north of Ashland.
